Cookie policy

This site runs on a deliberately small number of trackers. This page says which ones, what they are for and how to refuse them.
English translation. Biohackademia is a domain owned and operated by LOUNIZ, a company registered in France. This page is an English translation of the French original, provided so that you can read it in your own language. The relationship between you and LOUNIZ is governed by French law, and the French version of these terms is the one that prevails should the two ever differ. Nothing here removes the protections you enjoy under the mandatory consumer law of your own country of residence.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a site. It allows a piece of information to be kept between two pages or two visits: a payment session in progress, a display preference, an audience measurement.
2. Cookies used
| Cookie | Issued by | Purpose | Duration | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Payment session | Stripe | Secure the transaction and prevent fraud | Session | Not required (strictly necessary) |
| Authentication session | This site | Keep you signed in to your learning space | 30 days | Not required (strictly necessary) |
What we do not use: no advertising cookie, no social network pixel, no retargeting tracker, and no sale of browsing data.
3. Cookies exempt from consent
In line with the guidelines of the CNIL, the French data protection authority, trackers strictly necessary for the service to work, authentication, basket, payment security and remembering your cookie choice, do not require your prior consent. They cannot be turned off without making the service unusable.
4. Audience measurement
We do none at all today. The site contains no analytics tool, no advertising pixel and no third-party tracker: there is therefore nothing to accept or refuse, and no consent banner is shown to you.
If audience measurement were introduced, we would choose a privacy-respecting solution, configured without an advertising identifier and with IP addresses anonymised. This page would be updated before anything was switched on, and a consent banner would be shown if the configuration did not meet the exemption criteria set by the CNIL.
5. Managing or refusing cookies
You can configure your browser to refuse cookies at any time:
- Chrome: Settings › Privacy and security › Cookies
- Firefox: Settings › Privacy & Security
- Safari: Settings › Safari › Privacy
- Edge: Settings › Cookies and site permissions
Refusing the strictly necessary cookies will prevent payment and access to your learning space from working.
6. Local storage in the free tools
The free tools on this site (food calories, calorie calculator, cardiac coherence guide, reading speed test, Major System trainer) run entirely in your browser. The values you enter are neither transmitted nor stored on our servers.
7. Contact
For any question about cookies: contact@biohackademia.com. See also our privacy policy.
