From note to actionProtocol15 minModule lesson

The weekly review of your notes

Thirty minutes a week that turn a pile of dead notes into a living system.

The observation

The vast majority of notes taken are never reread. It is not a failure of willpower: it is the absence of a scheduled moment for doing it.

A note with no review is a cost with no benefit. The weekly review is what makes everything else pay off.

The protocol, thirty minutes

Phase 1: collection, five minutes

Gather everything captured this week: paper maps, photos, digital notes, loose sheets, voice notes, bookmarks. One place, one pile.

Phase 2: sorting, ten minutes

For each note, one of four decisions.

Action: it goes into your task system, with a date.

The rest is part of the Mind Mapping & Note-Taking module
